capSpire Wins Fourth When Work Works National Award for Exemplary Workplace Practices

When Work Works

capSpire has been honored for the fourth time with the 2016 When Work Works Award, which acknowledges the use of effective workplace strategies to increase business and employee success. capSpire is the only company in Oklahoma and one of three companies in Arkansas to be recognized with this national award.

At capSpire, a global consulting and strategic solutions firm, choosing the right employees to best help our clients isn’t just a guiding principle we follow – it’s ingrained in who we are as a company.  We start by finding the brightest minds and most innovative problem solvers – but it definitely doesn’t stop there.  We dig deeper to find the true gems:  smart people who can think big picture and collaborate with others to create long-term solutions for our clients.

Due to us hiring such high-caliber individuals, we are able to stay true to our core values and offer autonomy, trust, flexibility and a truly collaborative environment to create fresh, new solutions. We pride ourselves on finding a better way to show our appreciation with intangibles that make the difference for our team: fantastic people to work with, abundant learning opportunities, and a culture of ideas, support and collaboration.

“We are thrilled once again to receive this recognition for our unique workplace culture,” says capSpire co-founder Jeff Hardcastle.  “This award means a lot to me, because I believe capSpire’s greatest strength is hiring talented, hardworking employees who work well with others within our company, but also form easy collaborative partnerships with our clients.  The unparalleled dedication and loyalty of our team reminds us every day how fortunate we are to have a company based on mutual trust, a love of problem-solving and a hard-fought pride in making a meaningful difference for our clients. We believe that holding strong to our company’s core values brings out the best in each individual – and in our company.”

Formerly known as the Alfred P. Sloan Award, this honor is part of the national When Work Works project administered by the Families and Work Institute (FWI) and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), recognizes employers of all sizes and types across the country.  Contenders for the award are evaluated on six research-based ingredients of an effective workplace: opportunities for learning; a culture of trust; work-life fit; supervisor support for work success; autonomy; and satisfaction with earnings, benefits and opportunities for advancement — all factors associated with employee health, well-being and engagement.

“capSpire actively seeks to attract and hire leading talent in the U.S. and overseas, and our company culture is an essential tool in that process,” says capSpire recruiter Megan Coger. “The ultimate benefit of our company is simple: you get to work with smart, fun, collaborative people.  This begins with an exacting interview process, as we have high expectations around hiring.  But because we hire such high-caliber people, we trust them to get the job done.  We have no need to micromanage – our team enjoys true flexibility in how they accomplish a project. They decide how best to move forward and know that when they are on a project, everyone will pull their own weight, offer ideas, lean on each other and get the job done. The difference at capSpire is the fresh approach in how we build a trusting and collaborative culture for the benefit of both our team and our clients.”
